Hiking Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge
July 1-2, 2006

An evening hike up abandoned and gated jeep roads toward the high ridges above the Hot Springs Campground. Warner Peak, the highest in the refuge, is in the distance behind Eric.

The view from the ridgetop, looking northeast. Our campground is nestled in the v-shaped grove of cottonwoods and aspens in the river bottoms.

The next morning we took a short, but very hot, hike to Petroglyph Lake.

And, sure enough, we found some petroglyphs.
