Jill trudges up Hurricane Hill.
A look back down the snow-covered trail.
Almost to the top, a sign suggests an alternative destination: 6.1 miles to the Elwha River (where we hiked a few days later).
At the top, Eric basks in the sun with Mount Baker and the Straight of Juan de Fuca visible behind him.
A view out into the wild country of the Olympic Mountains.
Eric heads back down and contemplates walking to the Elwha instead of back to the car.
