Fly fishing Rocky Ford
March 19, 2005
In March, Eric and his dad, John, took a day fly fishing at Rocky Ford in the sagebrush country of eastern Washington.

The stream, which is absolutely teeming with the biggest rainbow trout you've ever seen.

The fish, however, are wily. Here's John with the only catch of the day. (Eric decided to use his patented "long line release" on one gigantic rainbow before he officially landed it.)

The river was also teeming with red-winged black birds and muskrats.
