Kona Region

We sort of fell in love with our condo at Sea Village. Here, Jill raises a Blue Hawaii and poses in front of the other units in our building (looking north, toward Kailua-Kona).
Same drink in hand, Jill reclines with her back to the wide blue Pacific.
Eric shades his eyes and takes in the view.
We took this photo from a whale watching tour. You can see our place, Sea Village, smack in the middle: it's the tan place with a red roof.
Taken from our lanai, a pretty typical evening view.
Sunset on the lanai.
Hapuna Beach State Park, our version of heaven.
Eric gets doused on the boogie board at Hapuna.
Jill catches the crest of a wave.
Our catamaran, heading out on a snorkeling tour of Captain Cook's Monument.
Eric loves riding on the catamaran.
Here's the marker showing the spot where Captain Cook met his end. Excellent snorkeling.
Up in the nearby hills, the famous Painted Church.
In the Painted Church, a Hawaiian take on religious iconography.
Outside the church, the Madonna is draped in shell necklaces.
