Scrambling Earl and Bean Peaks
May 12, 2007
Story coming soon.
Beverly Creek comes barreling down past the trailhead.
Looking up into Bean Creek Basin. Bean Peak (my second summit) is the rock-and-snow pyramid visible in the center of this photo.
Looking back down my route, part of the way up Earl Peak.
Nearing the summit of Earl Peak, I left the snow behind and ascended mainly on dirt and rock.
The Stuart Range (and me) from the summit of Earl. The Enchantment Lakes are nestled up there somewhere. Over my right shoulder you can see the ridge that I traversed to Bean Peak.
Mount Stuart.
About halfway to Bean Peak, this view is looking back toward Earl Peak and my route along the intervening ridge.
A framed shot of, yes, Mount Stuart.

On the summit of Bean Peak, I tried for a self portrait.
