Eric pauses at the gates of the Buckhorn Wilderness, not far from the trailhead. Kirk is still reliving the "Grey's Anatomy" ferry disaster.
Andrew makes his way up the snow slopes of Townsend. Brian and Kirk are in the lead.
Brian's the first one to reach the "summit," which is basically just a high spot on a ridge.
It's hard to imagine a nicer setting for a picnic lunch.
It began snowing in earnest during our descent.
Kirk makes a descending traverse on the way back to the trail. Brian is ahead.
