Hiking Stuart Lake
September 23, 2006
We took a lovely weekend camping trip with Brian and Hannah and Kirk and Dawn.

Our lovely campsite at Rock Island Campground. Eric spent some time working the river with his fly rod -- no luck finding fish, but it didn't really matter in a setting like this.

The raucous group of hikers: Kirk and Dawn in the back; Eric; Brian and Hannah clown around in the foreground.

Our first good view of Mount Stuart.

This is what the world looks like when seen through Jill's rose-colored glasses.

Stuart Lake, looking back toward Dragontail, which shelters the Enchantment Lakes.

It's hard to imagine a more perfect and peaceful afternoon than this one. A fly fisherman floats on the lake with Mount Stuart rising up behind him.

In fact, it was so peaceful on our big warm lunch boulder that Jill was overcome with sleepiness.
