Return of the BobRat
By Jill
Last weekend basking in the sublime realization that summer has begun, Eric and I decided to resurrect BobRat. (Unfortunately, since that decision the weather in Seattle has looked a lot more like winter than summer, but we're returning to BobRat nonetheless.) We've missed having a venue for reflecting on the experiences life throws at us. And, we've been told other appreciated our reflections too. Written reflection is important to us because it helps us preserve our memories and forces us to be clear about our ideas.
As much as we'd like another go-around, BobRat 2005 won't be journaling an around-the-world adventure. Instead, we'll be writing about our adventures here at home. Although those adventures won't feel nearly as exotic as safaris in Africa and snorkeling in Asia, we're actually just as excited to write about what the Pacific Northwest will offer in 2005: a summer full of time on the trail, mountain summits, baseball games, lakeside BBQs, new birds, and family and friends.
We've each committed to post at least once a week. Most of the time, we'll be writing about our weekend adventures, but we may slip in some midweek activities as well. Although we're doing this mainly for ourselves, we hope that you will enjoy what we have to say.
